Hamburger cheese buns

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 3 dl low fat milk, finger warm
  • 35 grams of yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 35 gr butter
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp syrup or sugar
  • 10 dl wheat flour, approximately
  • 1/2 dl grated cheese ( I used Västerbotten cheese)

For topping:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp of water
  • sesamy seeds

Mix the milk and the yeast. Add 2/3 of the flour snd start working the dough by machine. Add the remaining ingredients and add the last of the flour last, a bit at a time until you have a solid but slightly sticky dough but it still doesn’t stick to the edges.

Work it by machine for four to five minutes and the let it rest for 45 minutes covered by a lid or a kitchen towel.

Work the dough slightly by hand and cut it into 12 pieces. Form the pieces into balls and flatten them into hamburger bun shape. Put on a plate and let them rest for an additional 60 minutes covered by a kitchen towel.

Whisk the egg with som water and brush the egg mix onto the buns. Then sprinkle with the sesamy seeds. Now they are ready for the oven.

Bake them at 200 degrees celsius, hot air, for 23-15 minutes or they have a nice color.
